Ghana’s Ambassador-Designate to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, H.E. Mr. Edward Kwaku Cofie, today, 16 December 2025, held discussions with Mr. Mohamed Djebbar, Chief Executive Officer of Sarl Reine des Zibansa, at the Company’s factory in Regalia, near Algiers. The Company specializes in processing aluminum ingots into a range of aluminum products tailored to clients’ specifications.
Following fruitful discussions, the company expressed interest in importing quality Ghanaian aluminium standard ingots with high purity levels.
The Head of Mission underscored the importance of strengthening intra-African trade in line with the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). He encouraged Algerian companies to leverage on Ghana’s peaceful and stable political environment, as well as favourable investment climate to establish operations in the country.
In response, the Chief Executive Officer reaffirmed the company’s interest in a range of Ghanaian products and indicated its intention to commence with the importation of aluminium ingots as part of efforts to diversify its sources of the raw material.
The Ambassador-Designate assured the company of the Ghana Embassy’s readiness to facilitate linkages with relevant businesses in Ghana, in furtherance of efforts to deepen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
